• The Metal Gear RAY prototype stolen by Revolver Ocelot.

August - December:

• Solid Snake and Otacon steal Liquid Snake's body and use it as a replacement for Solid Snake's, to make the world think he's dead.
• Construction on Big Shell disposal facility commences.
