Barack was a cyborg commander of both Desperado Enforcement LLC. and World Marshal Inc. His serial code was 573 52224 2617.

Biography[]

Early life[]

At some point during the late 2000s and early 2010s, Barack ended up experimented on by the Patriots, resulting in him becoming a cyborg. His left arm, in particular, was replaced with a cybernetic one, containing data from the Patriots. Although his ethnicity was African American, Barack's cyborg body was given Caucasian features to cut down on costs.[1]

After the Patriots' fall, he ended up joining both Desperado Enforcement LLC. and World Marshal Inc., eventually rising up the ranks.

In 2018, Barack and several cyborgs ambushed Raiden, after the latter survived falling from Doktor's helicopter while trying to save his chopper during their escape with several brain canisters from World Marshal's HQ building at Denver, Colorado. He and his unit were ultimately killed by Raiden, with Raiden taking Barack's arm in the process.

Behind the scenes[]

Barack is a character in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, as well as one of thirty cyborgs to contain retrievable left arms in the game. He acts as the first cyborg commander in Chapter R-05, as part of the cyborgs that instantly ambushes Raiden shortly after Boris contacts him to escape from Denver on foot at the start of the level.

He was most likely named after the 44th President of the United States Barack Obama.

Notes and references[]

  1. ^ A Codec conversation with Doktor during the Investigation in Guadalajara, relating to brain unit specs, implies this was the case.
