At some point during the late 2000s, early 2010s, Chester ended up experimented on by the Patriots, resulting in him becoming a cyborg. His left arm, in particular, was replaced with a cybernetic one, containing data from the Patriots.
After the Patriots' fall, he ended up joining both Desperado Enforcement LLC. and World Marshal Inc., eventually rising up the ranks.

In 2018, Chester, alongside two cyborgs and a Grad UG ended up surrounding a civilian who failed to obey the evacuation order, feeling he may have had ulterior motives for disobeying to evacuation order and deciding they don't have enough time to hear his reason even if he wasn't anyway. He and his unit were later killed by Raiden, himself on his way to escaping Denver after accomplishing his raid on the World Marshal HQ building, taking Chester's arm in the process and also saving the hostage.
Behind the scenes
Chester is a character in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, as well as one of thirty cyborgs to contain retrievable left arms in the game. He acts as the third and final cyborg commander in Chapter R-05, harrassing the final civilian in the game.
