South America Cove Valley Village

The village in Cove Valley, following a battle between PMCs and rebels, in 2014.

The Cove Valley Village was a rural settlement in South America. It was on hilly terrain within the jungle.

History[]

The Cove Valley village acted as a hideout for various resistance members after the government's regime change.[1]

During Liquid Ocelot's insurrection, the Pieuvre Armement PMC was stationed here when the PMC was hired by the current regime. After rounding up some resistance members, they prepared to execute the soldiers, although Laughing Octopus attacked three more rebel soldiers, killing two, and then spared one so he could remember "her" face (using Solid Snake's face via FaceCamo). The soldiers were also ordered by Vamp to keep a lookout for Snake, anticipating that he would arrive with some of the rebel soldiers who were making their way to the main hideout. Snake eventually pressed through and evaded the soldiers.

Beyond the village in the hill area, several rebel soldiers also attempted to sneak past the PMC presence.

Behind the scenes[]

Cove Valley Village is a location that appears in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, during Act 2, Solid Sun.
