In Metal Gear Solid 3 to survive you must eat food. This article contains information about the only crab in the game.

Your average crab, it can be found in caves and water. It tastes pretty good, like all crabs, but gives fairly low stamina recovery. It also can hurt you if you get too close by pinching you with it's claws. It doesn't do much damage, but it is possible to be killed by one. It can first be found in Chyomaya Peschera Cave Branch and is last found in Tikhogomyj.
