At some point during the late 2000s, early 2010s, David ended up experimented on by the Patriots, resulting in him becoming a cyborg. His left arm, in particular, was replaced with a cybernetic one, containing data from the Patriots.
After the Patriots' fall, he ended up joining both Desperado Enforcement LLC. and World Marshal Inc., eventually rising up the ranks.

In 2018, David was dispatched alongside two Mastiff UGs and several Slider UGs to attack Raiden during his raid on the World Marshal Inc. HQ building, after he had managed to board the second freight elevator to the top floor after the first was destroyed by Dwarf Gekko jamming it. Raiden managed to wipe out the group, also taking David's left arm in the process.
Behind the scenes
David is a character in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, as well as one of thirty cyborgs to contain retrievable left arms in the game. He acts as the eighth and final cyborg commander in Chapter R-04, attacking Raiden shortly after boarding the freight elevator.
