Drum Can

The Drum Can (as it's referred to in-game) is the Guns Of The Patriots equivalent of the Cardboard Box used in previous games. Solid Snake uses it to hide from the patrolling guards, and can push it onto its side and roll into a number of guards to knock them over. However, doing this too much can make Snake feel sick. In the E3 2007 gameplay demo, Snake threw up upon ousting two guards with the drum can barrel roll.
The can that Snake uses in the game is first introduced as the can that Johnny Sasaki is caught by the enemy defecating within.
During the first gameplay video feature, Hideo Kojima comments that the drum can provides more protection for Solid Snake, and has the ability to deflect bullets.

In a recent trailer of Battlefield: Bad Company, a soldier claims that he saw a guy wearing an eyepatch hiding in a barrel. While the other soldiers debate on how stupid it would be for someone to hide in a barrel and why he would be wearing an, an exclamation mark appears over the barrel with the traditional sound effect. Another soldier then shoots the barrel with a grenade launcher and afterwards, finds the eyepatch and puts it on.
