The Ford Motor Company (commonly referred to simply as Ford) is an American multinational automaker headquartered in Dearborn, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit. It was founded by Henry Ford and incorporated on June 16, 1903. The company sells automobiles and commercial vehicles under the Ford brand and most luxury cars under the Lincoln brand. Examples of products include the Focus compact car, and the Fusion hybrid car (which had two different models in the American and European markets, with the former itself having two different models, one for gas-electric consumption, and one that is a plug-in).
Relation to the Metal Gear series[]
Two online advertisements for Ford utilized characters from the original Metal Gear Solid. The first was a Codec conversation between Solid Snake and Roy Campbell about the Ford 2016 Focus. The second was a variation of Psycho Mantis' infamous mind reading abilities scene where Mantis reads Snake's mind and deduces that the latter wants a Ford 2017 Fusion Titanium. David Hayter, Paul Eiding, and Doug Stone reprised their roles as Solid Snake, Roy Campbell, and Psycho Mantis, respectively, for the commercials.
