Consuela Alvarez was a resistance fighter in the Serena Republic. During the resistance against General Delgado's military regime, Consuela discovered the amnesiac mercenary Snake, and enlisted him into aiding her movement in toppling Delgado's government.
Three years later, Consuela, Snake, along with resistance members Dave Copeland and Roddy Louiz, were framed for the murder of Serena's new Secretary of State by the drug lord Escobar. The group fled to the United States, having previously destroyed Escobar's drug plant, and escaped with $15 million dollars, but they were detained by the FBI upon entry. Consuela and her comrades, however, were eventually released after Snake participated in an investigation into SaintLogic's unethical research.
