Jennifer R. Hale (born in Goose Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador) is a Canadian-born American actress, voice actress, and singer who is best known for her voice over work in numerous cartoons and video games. Hale provided the English voice of Naomi Hunter in Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, and Emma Emmerich in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty.

Hale grew up in the United States, attending the Alabama School of Fine Arts in Birmingham, Alabama. Graduating in 1982.[1] While in high school, Hale began working as a production assistant. After graduation, Hale worked as an actor, commuting between Birmingham and Atlanta. She got her first big break in the 1988 made-for-TV movie A Father's Homecoming. Later she moved to Hollywood and has been doing voices for video games, animation, commercials, radio promotions, anime, and movies since 1993.

Some of Hale's better known roles includes Black Cat in Spider-Man: The Animated Series, Ms. Keane and Princess Morbucks in The Powerpuff Girls, Sam and Mandy in Totally Spies!, HQ in the SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs series (since SOCOM 3: U.S. Navy SEALs), Mara Aramov and Maggie Powers in the Syphon Filter series (since Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain), and Commander Shepard (female) in the Mass Effect series.

Hale posted a tweet requesting that people sign an unsuccessful petition to have David Hayter reprise his role as Big Boss in Metal Gear Solid V,[1] prior to the official announcement that Kiefer Sutherland would take over.
