John Cygan (April 27, 1954 - May 13, 2017) was an American actor, voice actor, and comedian who provided the English voice of Solidus Snake.
Outside the Metal Gear series, Cygan was known for his voice work in the Star Wars games, Marvel Ultimate Alliance series, and the SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo.
Quinton Flynn, via his Twitter account, revealed that Cygan would supply some voice acting for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. Although he did not supply any voice acting for the game itself, Cygan reprised his role in the viral teaser trailers.[1]
