Humanoid Dwarf Gekko , also known as the Double Tripod, were a variant of Dwarf Gekko utilized in 2018.

Description[]

As their names implied, the Humanoid Dwarf Gekko were two Dwarf Gekko that were conjoined by the top arm of the lower Dwarf Gekko, giving a somewhat human-like appearance. They occasionally taunted their foe by doing a sweeping wave at the enemy.

Six were known to be in existence during the World Marshal Incidents. One was involved during the Abkhazian Coup, where Mistral forced the LQ-84i to shake its hand, while making it seem as if it was to shake her hand, shortly after reactivating its range limiter.

Behind the scenes[]

The Humanoid Dwarf Gekko (人体ロボット矮星月光 Jintai robotto Waisei Gekkō)/Double Tripod (倍三脚 Bai sankyaku) are bonus enemies that are encountered in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. They usually require certain conditions, such as not raising an alert in an area (R-05), destroying several enemies beforehand (R-02), or can be found in out of the way places that either require a long trek (R-07), have some handicap on them (R-03) or are unreachable outside of a long-range weapon (R-04). Destroying all five will unlock the trophy/achievement "Tearing Away the Disguise," a reference to a scene in Act 3 of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots involving the Dwarf Gekko.

Although not actually fought in the Blade Wolf DLC, one did briefly appear in the ending of the DLC.
