Metal Gear Solid 4 viewer description.

The HK21E is the first machine gun encountered in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. One model (the only one used by non-player characters in the story) is wielded by a rebel soldier in the Militia Safe House in Act 1, who shows it to a fellow rebel. Curiously, said rebel refers to it as "the very latest model", even though the -E model has been in production since the 1980s. It can be obtained by taking out the militiaman holding it, or bought from Drebin at a price of 6,000DP.  It is the only LMG with select fire.  It is capable of semi-auto, full-auto, and 3-round burst.
