Slippy Snake Codec Headshot Brawl

Slippy Toad as he appears in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Slippy Toad is the mechanic for the Star Fox team. He made inventions like the Arwing, Blue Marine, and the Landmaster. Although he was skilled at piloting the Landmaster, he was terrible at flying the Arwing, which necessitated for him to be rescued from enemy ships getting a lock on him.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl[]

Slippy Toad makes an appearance in Super Smash Bros. Brawl during Falco's Codec call with Solid Snake. Falco is the only character in the game that has someone talk about his stats in a Codec call from their universe and not someone from the Metal Gear universe (such as Otacon, Colonel Campbell, and Mei Ling). He managed to hack into Snake's Codec to give some pointers on how to fight Falco as part of friendly competition (the frequency used implied that the channel he hacked into was Campbell's channel). The conversation reveals that he was responsible for designing the deflectors and blasters that Falco and Fox were using, impressing Snake enough to tell Slippy that the next time they were to encounter each other, Snake will offer Slippy a chance to develop him a new weapon.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[]

Aside from reprising the role he played in Brawl during the Codec conversations above, Slippy is also a collectable spirit in the World of Light story mode for Ultimate. He is found at the Power Plant, and he possesses a Greninja puppet fighter (green costume) and fights alongside Fox McCloud at Frigate Orpheon from the Metroid series in a timed battle, with only Greninja actually being required to be defeated. Collecting him is necessary to make the Great Fox playable for the star system portion of the main map. He acts as an ace-level support spirit and has the "Made of Metal" skillset.
