Gindra Liberation Front (GLF) was an armed group that sought to achieve sovereign power for the Boias, an ethnic group in Gindra, Central Africa.
History[]
To finance their campaign for the liberation of Gindra, the GLF conducted various drug and rare metal trafficking (the former of which was Gindra's unofficial largest export), the annual payment amounting to more than $50 million. They used this funding to gain their black market weapons and equipment, most of which were state of the art.[1] Their base of operations was the fortress of Galuade, formerly the location of Outer Heaven.
GLF were Solid Snake's main adversaries during the Galuade Incident.

Brian McBride: Don't underestimate GLF. They aren't just another rebel group - their annual revenue from drug and rare metal trafficking is more than $50 million, and their black-market arms were financed by that money. [Their weapons are] all state-of-the-art. Be careful.
