In the Darkness of Shadow Moses: The Unofficial Truth
From the Metal Gear Wiki
In The Darkness Of Shadow Moses is a book written by Nastasha Romanenko. The book details the events of the Shadow Moses Incident from Nastasha's point of view, as well as her relationship with Richard Ames.
The book reveals many details about the story, such as how Jim Houseman was arrested, Ames's involvement with The Patriots and what happened to Naomi Hunter following the FOXHOUND Rebellion. It also revealed that Liquid Snake also knew of the Patriots, and in fact threatened them on the phone, implying that he hated them (presumably because of their involvement in the Les Enfants Terribles project).
The full text of the book is included as a special feature in Metal Gear Solid 2. It can be read in the Previous Story section of the Special menu after reading (or simply scrolling through) the two preceding texts, a New York Mirror review of the book, and an article, The Shocking Conspiracy Behind Shadow Moses. In the game, it is mentioned only once after the Harrier boss battle in Metal Gear Solid 2 by Raiden, and actively ridiculed by the Colonel AI. After the book was released to the public Nastasha disappeared again.
