Insects (food)

In Metal Gear Solid 3, in order to survive and regain stamina, you must eat food. This article contains information about the insects in the game, though ironically, neither of them are insects, but are Arachnids.

• Danger Level: Medium
• Stamina Recovery: Minimum
• Capture: Yes

It's so small, that it almost goes unnoticed. That is, until it bites you. It stings you quickly and it will poison you so that your health constantly degenerates. They typically climb along walls near eye level. It can first be found in Ponizovje West, and is last found in the Krasnogorje Mountaintop Ruins.

• Danger Level: Medium
• Stamina Recovery: Minimum
• Capture: Yes

Similar in many respects to the Cobalt Blue Tarantula, but is much more difficult to see. They are much faster to sting Snake if he walks near them. They can be found in the Krasnogorje Mountain Base, Krasnogorje Mountainside, and Krasnogorje Mountaintop Ruins areas.
