Jungle Evil (ジャングル・イーブル, Janguru Īburu^?) was a Zanzibar Land mercenary who specializes in ambush techniques and guerilla warfare, and the self-styled "King of the Jungle."

Also known as the "Phantom Assassin", he was once an operative for a reconnaissance command unit in the South African Special Forces Brigade. He also served as a mercenary in Vietnam and southern Yemen. During his time as a mercenary, he single-handedly destroyed two entire troop companies. He wore a high-tech camouflage suit that rendered him undetectable to motion sensing radar.

Jungle Evil fought against Solid Snake during Operation Intrude F014 in front of a laboratory near the Detention Camp.

• In the original MSX2 version, Jungle Evil was named Predator, a name derived from the film of the same name. He was renamed Jungle Evil in the re-releases of Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake.
