La Peninsula de los Muertos (The Peninsula of the Dead), located near San Hieroynmo Peninsula at the Central Colombia Coast, was the site of a top secret compound constructed by the Soviet Union after they were forced to withdraw from Cuba for Intermediate-Range Missiles. However, the Soviet Union were forced to withdraw their plans again at the end of the 1960's, when internation tensions were beginning to ease, and many Russian soldiers were forced to remained stationed there.

In 1970, the FOX unit seized the compound in attempt to gain ahold of military secrets store there.

The exact topography of the peninsula is classified top-secret by CIA files due to its strategic value.
