Lazorevo North, 1964.

Lazorevo (Russian: лазорево) is a long stretch of forest located in Tselinoyarsk. According to EVA, the name Lazorevo roughly translates to "the lush green earth."

HistoryEdit

Operation Snake EaterEdit

See Virtuous Mission and Operation Snake Eater

In September 1964, EVA and Naked Snake passed through Lazorevo by motorcycle after an ambush diverted them, following the defeat of Colonel Volgin and the Shagohod. As EVA drove, Snake fired from the sidecar at pursuing GRU soldiers riding their own motorcycles, along with others piloting flying platforms. The engine also caught fire, and they were almost out of fuel, although they just needed enough fuel to get to Rokovoj Bereg.[1] After making a large jump over a crevice, they finally escaped from the soldiers in Lazorevo and proceeded into Zaozyorje. However, EVA's motorbike crashed when she became distracted by a ruptured fuel tank, with her and Snake being thrown off. EVA became impaled on a tree branch, though she survived her wounds.

Behind the scenesEdit

Lazorevo South and Lazorevo North are two individual areas that feature in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.

WalkthroughEdit

Similar to the previous chases, all the player has to do is fire at any GRU motorcycles and/or GRU flying platforms that come at you. Also, if the player had managed to stamina-kill Volgin and gotten the Cold War outfit, simply look at the GRU soldiers while they are chasing the player, and they will rarely fire at you throughout the entire remaining chase. When transitioning to the next area of Lazorevo, EVA will warn Snake of a fallen tree blocking the path. Upon hearing this, the player must fire his weapon at the downed tree to clear the debris. If the player fails, Snake and EVA will suffer some damage, to which EVA will also berate the player, telling them "you stink!"
