MGS3 Life Medicine

Life medicine

Life medicine was a pharmaceutical drug developed by the Soviet Union for use in battle.

Function

Developed in the early 1960s, the exact components of Life medicine were a mystery to the West at the time. The medicine worked with the body's regenerative processes, allowing injuries to heal at a faster rate.

Usage

Life medicine was utilized within Tselinoyarsk, which Naked Snake later procured during Operation Snake Eater. Ocelot also utilized life medicine.

Similarly, life medicine was utilized within large medical kits within the Soviet's missile base at San Hieronymo Peninsula, to which Big Boss and his resistance later managed to procure.

Behind the scenes

Although rare, LIFE medicine can be found in various places throughout Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. It serves the same purpose as rations from the previous games in that they instantly replenish the LIFE gauge when used. The medicine can be selected in the item window and used by pressing the Circle button. If equipped, it will automatically heal the player once the LIFE gauge reaches zero. If the player attempts to contact Sigint about the life medicine, Para-Medic will frequently interrupt Sigint and give the info on it before Sigint could even get the chance to explain. If the player gives Ocelot instant noodles, CalorieMates, or rations during his fight with Volgin, Ocelot will return the favor by throwing some of his life medicine to Snake in addition to SAA ammunition.

Weight: 0.2 KG.
