At the end of Operation Snake Eater Naked Snake and Eva flew to Alaska before going to visit Langley. Solid Snake and Master Miller have both lived in Alaska. Shadow Moses Island is located here. The capitol of Alaska is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anchorage%2C_Alaska, and Snake stated that he was supposed to take his dog-sled team there a day after he was taken from his home for the events of Metal Gear Solid

[edit] Bikini Atoll
Bikini Atoll is an uninhabited atoll in the Micronesian Islands. It is a member of the Marshall Islands. Big Boss took part in one of the many tests that occured there from 1946 to 1958. Bikini Atoll was a site of more than 20 nuclear weapons tests between 1946 and 1958, including the first test of a practical hydrogen bomb in 1954.

A physics and chemistry lab located in the fictitious Moloni Republic in South Africa, it is the setting for Metal Gear AC!D

The Shell 1 Core is at the center of one of the two sections of the Big Shell. It is where the hostages were being held during the Manhattan Incident. Raiden had to infiltrate the area (in order to contact Richard Ames) by disguising himself as an enemy soldier.
[edit] Pease AFB, New Hampshire
After the destruction of REX by operative Solid Snake and the death of Liquid, the surviving Genome Soldiers were transferred to the Pease AFB in New Hampshire, where they were imprisoned for treason.
Pease is located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, which is also the hometown of Major Zero.
