Early life[]

At some point during the late 2000s, early 2010s, Martin ended up experimented on by the Patriots, resulting in him becoming a cyborg. His left arm, in particular, was replaced with a cybernetic one, containing data from the Patriots.

In 2018, Martin, alongside a unit composed of six cyborg soldiers (including himself) and four Fenrir UGs, were tasked to guard the main lobby of World Marshal Inc.'s Headquarters building. After Raiden bypassed scanners in the lobby during his raid on the HQ building, and thus had the robot secretary attempt to call 911, he and three of the soldiers ambushed Raiden on the other side, although he and the soldiers, alongside the reinforcements of two cyborgs and four Fenrir UGs ended up killed by Raiden, with Raiden also taking Martin's arm in the process.

Behind the scenes[]

Martin is a character in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, as well as one of thirty cyborgs to contain retrievable left arms in the game. He acts as the first cyborg commander in Chapter R-04, attacking Raiden shortly after the player bypasses the reception desk at the Foyer area of the level.
