Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater Original Soundtrack is the official soundtrack album of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and was released by Japanese music label, Phantom (Japan), on December 17, 2004 under the catalog number KOLA-089/090. The soundtrack is comprised of 2 discs and features music from various artists and composers such as Harry Gregson-Williams, Norihiko Hibino, Cynthia Harrell, TAPPY, and Starsailor. The soundtrack also included a "Special Camouflage Key Disc" which allowed players who owned a copy of Metal Gear Solid 3 to obtain additional camouflage uniforms for Naked Snake by selecting "Special Camouflage Key" under the menu titled "Special" once it's prompted to appear in the game. The Camouflage in question was the Auscam Desert Camo.

The Main Theme Motif appears on several different occasions during this soundtrack. It plays at the end of the Main Theme (Disc 1, Track 2), briefly during "Fortress Sneaking" (Disc 1, Track 16), "Old Metal Gear" is a lounge version of the theme (Disc 1, Track 22), and twice during "Debriefing" (Disc 2, Track 15).

There are 2 versions of this soundtrack, the original Japanese and a European version, all with different album covers. However, the ending credits theme "Way to Fall" by Starsailor was not included in the European version of the soundtrack. The European version was released on March 3, 2005 under the catalogue number 4012927026397.
