The Metal Gear Solid Music CD is a soundtrack released by Konami to promote the release of Metal Gear Solid on PlayStation. This CD contains a sampling of the music that brings the Metal Gear Solid experience to life. It was released in October 21, 1998 under the catalog number DIDX-064420, only in North America. It is not available to buy in stores, it was given out to customers who pre-ordered Metal Gear Solid as a free gift. This soundtrack is now considered rare.
All songs are composed and performed by KCE Japan Sound Team. Except for Metal Gear Solid Main Theme composed by TAPPY and Kazuki Muraoka and The Best Is Yet to Come composed by Rika Muranaka and sung by Aoife Ní Fhearraigh.
