On April 22, 2013, Konami has officially confirmed that Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection will be released exclusively for the PlayStation 3 in June 2013.
Konami's Director of Public Relations, Jay Boor, revealed that contrary to popular belief, Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes and Metal Gear Solid V are still separate games.
On March 27, 2013, Hideo Kojima officially confirmed at GDC 2013 that The Phantom Pain is indeed a Metal Gear game. The game is titled Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain .
At the Metal Gear 25th Anniversary Event, Konami revealed that the Metal Gear Solid movie is back in production. The movie will be a collaboration between Kojima Productions and Columbia Pictures.
A conversation with Hideo Kojima was held at the Smithsonian American Art Museum during "The Art of Video Games" exhibition, which included Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty among the 80 games featured as voted by fans. During the conversation, Kojima discussed his hopes for Project Ogre .
