Night Fright (ナイト・フライト Naito Furaito?) was a Zanzibar Land mercenary who used an optic camouflage suit that is also undetectable by radar and wields a Wei Shen Sho Ciang, roughly translated from Chinese means "Silent Machine Gun", a gun which appropriately made little noise. He was a surviving member of "The Whispers", a legendary guerilla squad from North Vietnam. He fought against Solid Snake in the basement of the Detention Camp during Operation Intrude F014.

- Night Fright was originally named Night Sight in the original MSX2 version. He was renamed Night Fright in the re-releases of Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake.
- Night Fright is the first character in the series to use a form of stealth camouflage.
- Night Fright is the only elite mercenary that does not speak to Solid Snake before fighting him.
