Biography[]

Early life[]

At some point during the early 2010s, Rutherford ended up experimented on by the Patriots, resulting in him becoming a cyborg. His left arm, in particular, was replaced with a cybernetic one, containing data from the Patriots.

After the Patriots' fall, he ended up joining World Marshal Inc., where he had quickly risen in the ranks.

In 2018, Rutherford, alongside a heavy cyborg and two cyborg cops, guarded a barricaded area to prevent Raiden's arrival at World Marshal Inc.'s HQ building, located nearby. He and the other soldiers were eventually wiped out, with Raiden also taking Rutherford's arm in the process.

Behind the scenes[]

Rutherford is a character in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, as well as one of thirty cyborgs to contain retrievable left arms in the game. He acts as the seventh cyborg commander in Chapter R-03, present near the stairwell. He is also the only cyborg commander in the chapter to not be a cyborg cop. He is instead a custom cyborg.
