Spugmay Keep was a landmark located in Afghanistan during the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in 1984.

The area overlooked a cliff, with various pillars and debris marking what was once a building.
History
In 1984, Venom Snake and Ocelot travelled to Spugmay Keep after entering Afghanistan. A sandstorm they had been traveling through quelled just as they approached the ruins. Ocelot then briefed Snake on Kazuhira Miller's capture by the Soviets, before leaving Snake to rescue Miller on his own.
Snake later returned to Spugmay Keep in order to retrieve a film canister carrying classified information.
Throughout his operations in Afghanistan, Snake encountered and rescued many escaped prisoners of war from the Spugmay Keep.
