Tappi Iwase, better known as TAPPY, is a composer and a musician. He is best known for his works on Konami video games. He composed the main theme of Metal Gear Solid, which Harry Gregson-Williams later remixed for use in Metal Gear Solid 2. The basic melody later became iconic for the series.
