I merged the "Metal Gear Characters" page into this one, to make it a bit more complete. However I'm thinking of moving the Outer Heaven Mercenaries over to the List of Minor Characters and just linking each one over there. Thoughts? --Fantomas 01:35, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

moreinfo template[]

would it be an idea to stick a moreinfo template pointing to Operation Intrude N313 in story overview? th previous mission gets talked about so it would look a bit weird. --Drawde83 20:28, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

This game is now for mobile phones in America as well.[]

I'm not sure if all phones are compatible. My phone is a Verizon from a year or so ago. However, I don't know exactly when Metal Gear mobile was released, except it was 2008.

Awesome, cheers for the info. Do you know if Metal Gear 2 is available as well? --Fantomas 17:07, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
I don't think so, sadly. At least not in the US. Japan has it. It took a few years for the first one to be ported to the States, so let's hope the sequel gets here faster.

Version Differences[]

What are the version differences between the gamceube version and the other versions? Oni Dark Link 21:15, November 1, 2010 (UTC)

Regarding the AVGN review of the NES version.[]

== == In my opinion, there is absolutely nothing satirical about it. It's not done for fun or for mockery, it was done to advise nostalgic players to leave the NES version alone, or at least to give explanations to somethings and to review the game as a whole.

Those 3 other people in the NES version[]

This probably has been said before, but I'm pretty sure those 3 other people are the resistance contacts: Diane, Jennifer, and Schnieder.

Splitting the NES version into a different article.[]

I think it would be a good idea splitting all the content specific about the NES version of Metal Gear (and its derivatives) into a separate article (titled "Metal Gear (NES version)"). We already separate pages for all the other expanded editions and ports (including Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes and Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D) and the NES version is different enough from the MSX2 original to the point that Kojima even disowns it. That's probably a good idea. Weedle McHairybug (talk) 10:58, April 1, 2013 (UTC)

Saving game progress[]

Hello, I was wondering if it is possible to save my progress of this game on the HD edition of MGS3? Or do I just use the passwords provided to resume?

spoilers[]

I'm not terribly familiar with how to do so on a wiki but if someone could, they really should put up some kind of warning about the MGS5 spoilers towards the bottom of the page. This isn't even MGS5's page, I wasn't expecting to see that without any warning
