Snake starts out the virtuous mission with this gun equiped, it is the MK2, or the tranc gun. It is than given to him by EVA, along with the custum m1911A1. In real life the hushpuppy (as far as I know) does not fire trank rounds, it was the first silenced firearm ever produced (by firearm, I mean something that actually uses bulletts propelled by compustion) it was origionally developed for the navy seals during the vietnam conflict, and got its name from its primary use, to kill guard dogs with out alerting nearby guards (hence the term hush puppy) If I recall corectly the origional version had the silencer built into the gun, meaning that it could not be removed.Superinsomniac 01:32, October 24, 2009 (UTC)
