I know the trophy calls it "Vodomjerka," but Boris' subtitles say "Vodomerka" when you Codec him, and that name also has the advantage of being the actual Russian word for water strider bugs rather than a misspelling of it. Evil Tim (talk) 22:04, March 12, 2013 (UTC)

It's spelled "Vodomjerka" in the first codec conversation with Boris about the UG during a ranked battle. 76.116.66.91 15:47, March 17, 2013 (UTC)

Any Codec info on this guy?[]

Hi.

If there's any information on the Codec about the Vodomerka, please add it in. The name implies that it might be of Russian origin, but I cannot determine whether it is, and I'm pretty sure there's more to it. Weedle McHairybug (talk) 00:37, March 13, 2013 (UTC)

Yeah, I'll do that tomorrow. Boris says it's Russian and explains that the jet engines were added to allow it to keep up with cyborgs rather than trying to outgun them. The flamethrower is used because it can't be blocked and injects monomethylhydrazine into its gel fuel to raise the temperature of the flame jet to 2,000 degrees. Also Vodomerkas are complete assholes to fight on anything above normal but he doesn't tell you that. Evil Tim (talk) 00:40, March 13, 2013 (UTC)
He says a bit more than that. I posted the conversation on the codec conversations page. Hope it's a bit useful. 76.116.66.91 16:28, March 17, 2013 (UTC)
Pretty good. Thanks for the help, guys. So apparently the Vodomerka was developed by guys who made ground-effect vehicles. Okay. Don't know if Alekhine actually exists or not. Still, the information should suffice for now. Weedle McHairybug (talk) 16:41, March 17, 2013 (UTC)
Don't think it does, it's probably named after Alexander Alekhine, a champion chess player. Evil Tim (talk) 19:54, April 29, 2013 (UTC)
