Usage Edit

Use this template for the "Unconfirmed history" section, placed immediately prior to the "Behind the scenes" section of an in-universe style article (or in its place, if there is none). "Unconfirmed history" is used to detail information that is exclusively given in sources that are licensed by Konami. Licensed sources comprise official novelizations, strategy guides, etc, that expand on the Metal Gear story, but are not necessarily contradicted by canon, as dictated by direct Konami productions (games, final scripts, the Metal Gear Solid 4 Database, etc).

Any details that are outdated and now contradicted by canon are not included, and can be discussed in the "Behind the scenes" section, similar to information that is retconned within the games themselves.

Depending on context, the section title can be altered to suit the article type, e.g. "Unconfirmed usage" for weapon and item pages.
