At some point during the late 2000s, early 2010s, Thomas ended up experimented on by the Patriots, resulting in him becoming a cyborg. His left arm, in particular, was replaced with a cybernetic one, containing data from the Patriots.
After the Patriots' fall, he ended up joining Desperado Enforcement LLC., eventually rising up the ranks.

In 2018, Thomas was deployed to Guadalajara, Mexico, to guard one of their labs while they proceeded to remove various abducted childrens' brains for the Sears Program. A month after the first batch was completed, he and a unit of two other cyborgs besides himself were stationed to guard the entrance to the plasma cooling chamber. He and his unit were eventually taken out by Maverick agent Raiden while trying to search for any non-harvested children besides George, with Raiden also taking his arm in the process.
Behind the scenes
Thomas is a character in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, as well as one of thirty cyborgs to contain retrievable left arms in the game. He acted as the third and final cyborg commander in Chapter R-02, guarding the entrance to the penultimate room in the level.
