I think is a nice detail from Kojima ( a pixel-snake in a high definition world, with DARPA chief and genoma soldiers), but not mind-blowing at all, at least from my point of view. I hope he shows more stuff, like talking about the extension of the game itself ( how many missions aprox. can we do, main and optional).

It would have been better if they gave us updated character models to match the environment, based on the original character designs. After all, I don't replay classic MGS1 for the graphics. Did anyone honestly use the MGS1 mask in MGS4? I always opted for the Young Snake w/ Bandana for the nostalgia.

Also, I hope that with the "classic" character models, they use the original English voice acting, rather than the (in my opinion) inferior Twin Snakes acting. I think that if they re-recorded it, it would be too off putting, like they did for the HD Digital Graphic Novels recently.

Some people keep saying they heard David Hayter's voice during the trailer last night, saying "Metal Gear?!" I don't know if it's just that one line for the trailer, if it's newly recorded for the mission or they just used recordings from MGS1/TS.

Sounds to me like it was Kiefer doing Snake's voice so I'm guessing it'll be all new voice overs for that mission. It looks like a fun little distraction, nothing huge but just something to mess around with. I think I saw on Twitter that Kojima had wanted to use the sprites from the original MG but it was impossible to get them working in the engine. That would've been pretty cool but I'm fine with this. Console exclusive content is rarely anything major in multi-platform releases so I can't say I expected anything much. This is actually much better than what I thought it would be.

I was watching a second trailer for it that was on PlayStation's Blog, and there's a point where Big Boss says "Surveillance camera?!" and it sounded like Sutherland, but then the dude who wrote the blog article stated that you'll be "taking photos and recreating scenes as Naked Snake" before you can access the special mission, so I'm not sure.

Also - FOXHOUND flags? That's what I'm talking about.

Apparently a "source" that's close with Hayter/Metal Gear has confirmed that Hayter has not been approached to do the voice. I'd usually be more optimistic but Hayter retweeted something about that on Twitter. So... yeah.

So true. Specially for Greyfox and his awsome scenes. Not so much snake ones. The only good for snake was the granade thing.
