Triumph Motorcycles is a motorcycling manufacturing company based in the UK. It was formed in 1984 after Triumph Engineering went into receivership. One of its most well-known motorcycles is the Triumph Bonneville.

Relation to the Metal Gear series[]

The Triumph Bonneville was utilized in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. In addition, in MGS4, Triumph Bonneville, to promote both the game and the motorcycle line, published a Japanese-exclusive specs poster of the T100-model motorcycle as it appeared in the game.

It was announced at London Comic-Con 2015 that, to promote MGSV:TPP, Triumph Motorcycles and Konami would release a specialized version of the Triumph Bonneville, called the Venom Triumph Bonneville VTB.1, based on the motorcycle Venom Snake (or rather, the real Big Boss) rides in the ending of the game. It was kept inside a box modeled after the cardboard boxes used to deliver supplies until it was unveiled. Only one has been made at the time of the announcement. It was later placed onto eBay, with the initial price being $10,000.[1]
