Dr. William L. Flemming is a main character in the game Metal Gear Acid. He co-created the Project Pythagoras with Hans Davis.
He is originally thought to be Gary Murray, a lab assistant who escaped from Leone's men. Snake first meets up with him in the Control Room after being contacted by him on the Codec. He tells Snake that Dr. Flemming, who Snake is searching for, is located in the Residential Area. This ends up being a trap and Snake's team becomes suspicious of him. Gary ends up contacting Snake and Teliko when they reach BRC-026 and tells them what Pythagoras really is, along with telling them that he wants the ACUA data to become rich and will kill Flemming once he gets what he wants.
Gary and Snake meet again inside BRC-026, but he tells Snake that he is actually Dr. Flemming and calls Snake by the name of Hans Davis. He goes on to say that Snake, as Hans, created Pythagoras and is a BEAGLE executive. He then tells Snake that he will give him the data for Pythagoras, but only if he is truly Hans Davis and no longer Solid Snake. Teliko shows up and shoots the Pythagoras data out of his hands and Flemming escapes to FAR.
He shows up again to capture Leone outside of FAR while Snake and Teliko shut down the powerhouse as a part of their plan to enter FAR.
After battling Snake and Teliko using Metal Gear KODOQUE, Teliko manages to shoot and kill him, thwarting his plans.
